Overview
SiteMonitorSM is a website monitoring service that verifies uptime and measures the performance of non-transactional web sites as often as every minute from up to 17 points of presence around the world.
How it Works
 Once the webpages to be monitored have been set up together with the reporting options and escalation policies SiteMonitorSM will generate alerts in real-time if connectivity problems, content errors or performance thresholds are exceeded. False alerts are eliminated by our three strike rule - the problem must be replicated from three monitoring locations within a 30 second period before an alert is generated.
Performance reporting
SiteMonitorSM provides detailed HTML- and Flash-based performance reports, which can be generated ad hoc or scheduled for email delivery on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
 SiteMonitorSM provides the following performance metrics:
- Page load times by day of week and hour of day from global locations
- Errors experienced by type and page
- Site uptime
- Object by object (image by image) detailed breakdown
- DNS, first byte, and transfer time details
