Overview

Our SiteStressSM service is a remotely executed, completely outsourced performance and load testing solution. SiteStress simulates end-user activity against designated web sites, challenging both performance capacities and infrastructure reliability. As a completely managed service there are no tool costs and no training overhead.

The results of the tests are analysed by our engineers and a detailed report of our findings is produced. SiteStress is used by companies, developers and service providers to ensure a positive online experience for end-users.

How it Works

A SiteStressSM test consists of one or more scenarios (typically up to 10 steps each) as defined by the client. Our engineers create scripts based on defined transactional scenarios, and simulate them with a prescribed number of virtual users over our GlobalWatch testing and monitoring network. On completion of each test we produce a detailed report of our findings.

  • Simulated Traffic: SiteStressSM can generate hundreds or thousands of virtual users that interact with a specified web site to assess how much load the applications and infrastructure can handle, providing performance rates at various loads and application breaking points.
  • Transactional Simulations: Typically anywhere from one to five different user behaviours are executed simultaneously, precisely mimicking real end-user behaviour, such as Login, Checkout, Order Status etc.
  • Service: Outsourced (Hosted/Managed) load testing service executed from our distributed load testing network with servers across North America, Asia and Europe.
  • Expertise: A dedicated performance engineer is allocated to each load test customer to provide performance analysis, diagnosis and recommendations for optimising the performance of web sites, applications and systems.
  • Reports: Detailed HTML/Flash reports are generated after each test iteration, which include detailed performance analysis by our testing experts.
  • Schedule: Testing engagements usually consist of three executions and can be as short as a few days.
