Software Functionality Testing

We specialise in the integration testing, system testing and UAT stages of software development projects and will recommend the appropriate balance of exploratory, scripted and automated testing to meet your objectives.

Manual Testing

Our manual exploratory testing methodology is extremely effective, finding the biggest bugs fast and eliminating unnecessary documentation. A more formal, scripted approach can be used when appropriate, and in some cases the optimum solution is a combination of the two. Exploratory testing is typically two to three times more efficient than scripted testing, and is usually the most appropriate approach.

Automated Testing

We use lightweight test automation to improve the efficiency of certain types of tests and to perform tests that cannot be done manually. Our preferred tools are currently Watir and Selenium, both of which are open-source.

Custom Toolsmith Service

When a test needs to be automated but a suitable tool is not available, our in-house toolsmith can create it using an appropriate technology such as Perl, Java or .Net.

Our Test Centre is fully equipped to conduct almost any project, and it operates 24/7 so we can keep working when your day has finished. Of course some projects can only be run on your premises, in which case we will provide the skilled testers and any equipment that is needed.
